Waldorf Inspired Homeschooling Enrichment Group
This Group is geared towards the needs of homeschooling families on a Waldorf inspired path.
If your family is interested in meeting for 2 hours a week in the mornings, The Westdale Children's school Parent and Child room can be made available for a peaceful and nourishing space. The younger children are free to play with the natural, handmade, open-ended toys. Waldorf-inspired, age appropriate activities and simple crafts will be offered to engage the older, school-age children. Bring along handwork or crafting you are working on, for yourself (and/or for your older child/ren) while we chat and have a cup of tea! The focus of the group will reflect the needs of the families attending, and folks may additionally decide to include seasonal songs or stories, to celebrate festivals together, or arrange field trips or hikes. |
Readings will be available for parents to take home and to discuss each week. They will center on topics that enrich and deepen our Anthroposophic understandings.
Main areas of focus include, but are not limited to: The inner spiritual work of the Teacher; Childhood Developmental Phases according to Steiner; exploring available curriculum, resources and supports; Waldorf Inspired Parenting and Home Rhythm; Fostering Waldorf Inspired Community Locally; Understanding the Four Temperaments. |
